William Hill Bingo to get associated with ITV's new daily game show
Published on Nov 20, 2008
In yet another move exemplifying online bingo companies increasing reliance on television, online gaming site William Hill Bingo has decided to take a plunge into television programme advertising for the first time.

The company has decided to sponsor ITV's new daily game show Spin Star, being hosted by popular former Coronation Street star Bradley Walsh.

Via this initiative, William Hill Bingo is looking at solidifying its bingo image and increase national recognition.

In terms of how the show fits with the profile of the bingo site, the company mentioned that the Las Vegas style show will appeal to a similar demographic to William Hills popular Bingo site at a key time of day.

Hills' spokesperson Lili Huang said, "The theme of our television bumpers shows the community feel on our newly rebranded website, and the show encapsulates the slots games that sit within William Hill's Bingo."

The sponsorship is not the first mass marketing campaign for William Hill Bingo. It recently finished its TV campaign which focused on their support of Breast Cancer Care through the Pink Ribbon games.

A television ad for William Hill's online bingo, featuring a woman so desperate to play that she tricks her husband, was banned by the advertising standards authority for condoning socially irresponsible gambling behaviour in May this year.
