Mobile phone gambling services specialist Probability has shared that 58% increase in its revenues in the year, ended March 31, has brought it close to achieving break even.
Net gaming revenue increased by 58% to £5 million. The company ended up with £61,000 pre-tax loss compared to 2008 loss of £1,045,000.
A big contributor to growth this year has been the widening of portfolio of mobile games, particularly with branded content offering mass consumer appeal. The company has also upgraded its CRM capability to create what it calls “live CRM”. It is a real-time promotional management system which can respond to changes in player behaviour in minutes with targeted offers and personalised bonuses.
Probability is pursuing growth in both the direct and business to business markets.
It is planning to expand direct to consumer marketing to new territories. It is actively investigating the potential for additional operating licences in the EU. This business still generates the majority of its income, offering mobile only gaming services distributed primarily to customers already surfing the mobile Internet or downloading other types of games from their network operators.
In the B2B market, the deals which the company has concluded, for example, mFuse and Dragonfish, are part of a medium term strategy to build up capabilities in this area.
