Managed Gaming Solutions (MGS) Plc and Grupo MVTV C.A., a Venezuelan privately owned lottery operator acting under the brand name “Teleloteria SC”, have launched a mobile lottery service in Venezuela.
According to a previously signed agreement, the lottery operator uses MGS as its exclusive system and service provider in Venezuela.
Grupo MVTV started its mobile lotto marketing activities with carefully selected media set-up. The first official lottery draw was televised live from Caracas recently.
The companies highlighted that more than 75 percent of the adult population plays traditional lottery games on a regular basis. Plus, there is an opportunity to extend the lottery service to mobile platform as currently there are over 27 million mobile users.
Tero Turunen, executive chairman of Managed Gaming Solutions, said that the gaming industry also faces some challenges due to unlicenced lottery operators organising illegal games. In this context, it is very important that MGS and Grupo MVTV have been granted a licence for mobile lottery games by the government.
“The most convincing argumentation for granting the licence has been our fully auditable lottery operations, where every single lottery ticket sales can be easily audited by the government in order to ensure that the lotteries are played according the governmental regulations. Based on this promising start, we plan to launch further games together with Grupo MVTV in Venezuela,” Turunen added.
