Given the settlement between PartyGaming in April09 with the United States Department of Justice, for a fraction of the cost one of the founder Anurag Dikshit that paid, it is apparently ripe time for PartyGaming and others to jump back on the Mergers & Acquisition Bandwagon.
Indeed, on the surface, this might be the case, given the further deregulations of Italy, potential further liberation/regulation of likes of France and Japan. Despite the economic climate now, even the private equity funders might be in dire situation where they might have to sell their holdings in much discount.
